Wanted Man Charged With Striking Woman With Knee, Stealing Cell Phones At CT Post Mall

Police investigators have apprehended a wanted man who allegedly assaulted a woman at the Connecticut Post Mall and stole two cell phones from her before fleeing.

West Haven resident Isaiah McKnight was taken into Milford Police custody on Thursday, Feb. 21 in regards to an active warrant that was out for his arrest, dating back to an incident at the mall late last year.

Police said that McKnight is accused of striking a woman in the stomach with his knee multiple times on Nov. 29 last year. A witness to the alleged assault intervened, at which point McKnight took two cell phones and ran away from the scene.

McKnight was arrested on Thursday and charged with robbery, assault, breach of peace and larceny. He’s currently being held on $20,000 bond and is due in court later in the day.
